A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Xi'an, China by TravelPod blogger Janetcasey titled "Xi'an, China". TravelPod is a company of TripAdvisor™. Janetcasey's travel blog entry: "I had an excellent 3 days in Xi'an. I had gone primarily to see the Terracotta warriors, but the city has quite a few other attractions (which I actually found more interesting!) The centre of Xi'an is an old walled city. The wall has been reconstructed where necessary so that it is intact on all 4 sides. One of the highlights of my visit was hiring a bike and making a complete circuit of the walled city, which took about 1.5 hours. In the middle of the walled city are the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. I stayed within a stone's throw of these 2 towers, and also on the edge of the Muslim quarter, which is absolutely fascinating. My accommodation described itself as a hostel but it was actually a number of apartments in a block. I had a room in a 2 bed apartment but the other bedroom was unoccupied so I effectively had a 2 bed apartment, with bathroom, kitchen and lounge to myself - luxury! The hostel proprietors were very helpful in giving advice on transport etc, so I found myself happily using the local bus services, which added to the experience. I had some fantastic food during my stay - much of it from street stalls. I hadn't been that adventurous before but all of a sudden I found myself willing to try anything.
