Lewnwdc's travel blog entry: "I had a spectacular first full day of sightseeing here in Moscow. The weather was brilliant again -- mid-60s and bright sunshine the entire day. This is such a beautiful city. I'm really enjoying my visit. I got up at 9:53 am, sleeping until the last possible minute before throwing on some clothes and making it to the hotel lobby before breakfast ended at 10:00. I'm staying in a small hotel, so breakfast is made to order. I chose the option with two fried eggs and toast. It's always nice to get a breakfast included with the hotel room. This wasn't anything fancy, but it put something in my tummy before I headed out at 11:46 am for 8.5 hours of sightseeing. My first stop was Alexandrovsky Garden, the park outside the Kremlin's western wall. I saw the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, which is dedicated to Russians who gave their lives defending the nation from German invasion in World War II. I grabbed a hotdog from a vendor in the park and ate lunch enjoying the warm sunshine and pretty flowers in the garden. Next I went to the Kremlin Museums ticket office. There was a long line, and I had to wait 17 minutes before getting up to one of only two ticket windows. They could definitely use more counters.
