Wareameye's travel blog entry: "We're out the door early this morning, and into the thick Delhi traffic. I just don't see how this city will be able to move if the population and traffic continues to increase! Thank goodness a new metro is under construction, and should be completed before the Commonwealth Games in the fall. It takes us a couple of hours just to get out of Delhi, but after that we are able to move along fairly quickly. We stop for a coffee at nearly noon, and I hang out on the highway taking photos of some of the interesting sights that pass, and talking with the group of young men that quickly gathers around me. One even gives me a little ride on his motorcycle! We check in to our hotel in Agra and grab a quick lunch, then race out the door since we can't wait any longer to visit the fabled Taj Mahal. The sky is clear blue and the long afternoon rays of the sun are illuminating the building beautifully. We are all blown away. I have always said that this is the one tourist attraction in the world that never fails to exceed expectations. It is truly a marvel, and I feel fortunate to have seen this jewel another time. We spend an hour wandering around the grounds and inside the Taj, then zoom across town to the Red Fort for another fantastic tour. People are so friendly, and ...
