Michael_mildred's travel blog entry: "Hi all. We wanted to get a little more background on the D-Day invasion...so we hopped a 20 minute train from Bayeux to Caen. Caen is a more commercialized town as it was re-built after the war. It is home to a museum that chronicles the issues leading up to WWII as well as the Allied response of over 2 million soldiers for the D-Day invasions. It was a good day trip and easy to get to.
