This is day two exploring East Berlin, chech out day one if you haven't already. As we come into Warschauer Straße the first thing that we see is Oberbaumbrücke, a bridge connecting East and West Berlin. During WWII the middle of the Oberbaumbrücke was blown up to stop the Red Army from crossing, and since its rebuild it has become the symbol of Berlin's reunification! Following this, only a few feet away is the East Side Gallery. It is the largest, longest lasting open air gallery in the world. It is a series of over 100 paintings on a section of the original Berlin Wall. This is after its the 2000 restoration from erosion and vandalism. From here you will see Alexanderplatz and the Infamous TV tower, and Berlin Wall memorial. Then we finally take you back to the Brandenburg Gate as we are on our way to the Reichstag Building to visit the Bundestag (German Parliament). Enjoy!
