A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Den Hague, Netherlands by TravelPod blogger Simon_and_tess titled "Exploring Holland". TravelPod is a company of TripAdvisor™. Simon_and_tess's travel blog entry: "After packing up the tent and toying with the idea of visiting Haarlem, we decided to drive straight to Den Hague. We found a nice corner in a mega-camp site full of dutch caravanners and got the bus into town. Den Hague couldn't be more different from Amsterdam. From the main station you emerge into an ultra-modern landscape full of crazy glass buildings. Its so clean and peaceful we felt like we were walking through an architect's drawing. The suburbs around are immaculate too - perfect little thatched houses and well kept streets and gardens. It feels a long way from the chaos of Amsterdam and the grime of London. Soon the modernity ended and we emerged into a really friendly little town, where we wandered the streets and found a nice little bar and some tasty Indonesian food. Its nice to get away from the tourist crowds in Amsterdam and see real Dutch people doing their thing - everyone's really friendly in a low-key, informal sort of way."
